IBPS Model Papers 2016, IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2016 and Syllabus

So this year the exam of IBPS Clerk will be conducted on the basis of new exam pattern.

The entrance examination for recruitment of clerical positions in various public sector banks in India is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)..

Verbal means classification, analogy, decision making, word formation, series, decoding & coding, blood relation, symbol & notation, statement & conclusion, sitting arrangement and problem solving..

General Awareness : Science and technology, Economy, Important awards & honours, Current national and international events, Computer knowledge, Banking knowledge, Commissions,

Part 4 – General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry)
Current Events of last 3-4 months
Scientific aspect of daily life observations as may be expected of any educated person
Day to Day General Knowledge
  • Summits
  • Books & Authors
  • Sports events
  • Countries, Heads & their currencies
  • Important Events
  • Important Days
Banking Aptitude
  • History of banking
  • Banking terms (like Repo rate & reverse repo rate)
  • Important current events in banking industry
  • Important RBI guidelines and rulings
  • Working of rural banks
Financial Market & Capital Market
Generally around 60% questions are from banking industry, while around 30% questions fall in current events category. Other sections do not count much as per last few years question paper pattern.

There will be penalty for wrong answers i.e. Along with this basic qualification it is preferred that you have basic working knowledge  of computer systems and are able to read and write the local language of the region.
